Steve brings 24 years of experience at NCDOT to his approach to commercial real estate.
During his time with NCDOT, he worked in traffic engineering, managed the Metrolina Regional Transportation Management Center, facilitated permitting and plan review for encroachments, driveways, subdivisions, and developments; managed complex projects; and gained extensive knowledge of civil engineering. He also acquired knowledge of state, county, and municipal regulations and permitting requirements – a unique skill set that gives Steve a valuable edge in our local commercial real estate market. His extensive background in electronics and computers helps with all aspects of this business—website management, asset procurement, permit requests, and online paperwork.
Steve completed his undergraduate work in Electronic Engineering Technology and obtained his Master’s Degree in Business. He was born in Western North Carolina and has been living in the Charlotte/Mooresville area for over 22 years. In his spare time, Steve likes to volunteer at church and the Mooresville Soup Kitchen. He enjoys flying, playing the piano and trumpet, mountain biking, swimming, and playing tennis.
As an accountant and entrepreneur, Carol has held positions as a chief financial officer, business manager, business consultant, and accounting analyst. In other words, throughout her career, Carol has always kept her eye on profitability and the bottom line. In addition, she’s a problem solver who’s able to find creative solutions and suggest strategies that hedge off potential challenges.

David Rowles joined Mooresville Commercial Realty to focus on commercial real estate. He led several divisions for a Fortune 100 company and was CEO of a $2.9 billion international company held by a Korean firm before coming to Mooresville Commercial Realty. At one point in his career, he was the CFO of a $1 billion logistics division owned by North American Van Lines. He established his own consulting firm and advised Asia-based clients in the area of international distribution. Most recently, he served as the as Head of School for a local private Christian academy from 2014 to 2018. This combination of experiences, from purchasing and leasing factories and distribution space, to interacting with individuals having diverse backgrounds and perspectives, equips David to help both buyers and sellers execute complex commercial transactions.
Born in Pennsylvania, he and his family moved to Davidson in 2000, and except for a two-year sojourn to North Dakota, they have been here ever since and plan to stay! David holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from Shippensburg University and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is active in several local and international missions and is the treasurer of St. Jude’s Mission in Huntersville.
